Urgent Short Term and Assessment Treatment Program (USTAT)
USTAT has been designed to enhance access for those utilizing Mental Health services within the Westshore community. The program brings VIHA’s USTAT Mental Health service to Pacific Centre allowing residents community access. The Mental Health Clinical Counsellor provides a link with both the Family Doctor and the Mental Health system of care in the Capital Region.
What We Do
We provide crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy treatment to individuals with co-occurring mental health and addictions disorders. Prioritization of service will be based on the most serious and urgent acute cases requiring community mental health services. One time psychiatric consultation and evaluation may be arranged by the USTAT Counsellor if neccessary. Referrals are made by the family doctor or health clinic, prioritized by the VIHA Mental Health Intake, and are then forwarded to Pacific Centre.
How to Connect with USTAT?
Referrals may be made by Doctors, Health Clinics and Psychiatrists. If you have questions about the program you can connect with the USTAT counsellor at 478-8357.
